So if you follow me or Jory on Twitter, or see us in real life on a regular basis, you will know that we’ve been talking about The Wire pretty much nonstop for weeks. The only reason we haven’t done an AFO on The Wire is because it went off the air in 2008, and also Ryan and Josh haven’t seen it. The other night we were at a concert for my brother’s band The Mild Revolution, and we kept talking about how we wanted to go down to some train tracks and get drunk and smash bottles and shit, and everybody else was like, LOLwut, and we were like, you just don’t understand. But I was telling Jory he needed to see this documentary Street Fight, which is about a mayoral election in Newark (in 2004, I think). It is basically The Wire, but in real life. The trailer:
Also– Mitt Romney got involved in an altercation on a plane last week. A guy punched him, or something. And it turns out that it was a semi-famous rapper? That kind of makes sense, because it’s not like Mitt was flying coach. But anyway, TMZ has the story, if you can deal with their horrible Web 1.0 look and double-spaced text and shit.
